What are the Hytale hardware requirements? ​

Learn about Hytale's hardware requirements and where to purchase the game.

Hytale is designed to be accessible to a wide range of players while maintaining impressive visuals and gameplay. Here are the official hardware requirements as of December 2025.

Minimum requirements ​

These specifications will allow you to run Hytale at 1080p @ 30 FPS on low settings:

Operating System ​

  • 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or Windows 11

Processor (CPU) ​

  • Intel Core i5-7500 or equivalent
  • AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or equivalent

Memory (RAM) ​

  • 8 GB RAM
  • 12 GB RAM if using an integrated graphics card

Graphics Card (GPU) ​

Integrated Graphics:

  • Intel UHD Graphics 620 or better
  • AMD Radeon Vega 6 or better

Dedicated Graphics:

  • NVIDIA GTX 900 series or better (GTX 960 recommended)
  • AMD Radeon 400 series or better

Storage ​

  • SATA SSD with at least 20 GB free space

Network ​

  • 2 Mbit/s connection for multiplayer (UDP/QUIC compatible)

SSD Recommended

Hytale requires an SSD (Solid State Drive) for storage. Traditional hard drives (HDD) are not supported due to performance requirements.

These specifications will allow you to run Hytale at 1080p @ 60 FPS on high settings:

  • 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or Windows 11

Processor (CPU) ​

  • Intel Core i5-10400 or equivalent
  • AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or equivalent

Memory (RAM) ​

  • 16 GB RAM

Graphics Card (GPU) ​

Integrated Graphics:

  • Intel Iris Xe Graphics or better
  • AMD Radeon 660M or better

Dedicated Graphics:

  • NVIDIA GTX 900 series or better
  • AMD Radeon 400 series or better
  • Intel Arc A series

Storage ​

  • NVMe SSD with at least 20 GB free space

Network ​

  • 8 Mbit/s connection for multiplayer (UDP/QUIC compatible)

Better Performance

For the best experience, especially with mods or higher player counts on servers, we recommend exceeding the minimum requirements.

Where can I buy Hytale? ​

Hytale is available for pre-order through the official Hytale Store at store.hytale.com. The game is scheduled to launch in Early Access on January 13, 2026.

Available Editions ​

Hytale is available in three editions, each with exclusive cosmetic items:

Standard Edition ​

  • Game access for Early Access
  • Username reservation
  • Exclusive cosmetic items, including:
    • Standard Cape
    • Various exclusive cosmetic sets

Supporter Edition ​

  • Everything from the Standard Edition
  • Additional exclusive cosmetic items, including:
    • Supporter Capes
    • Additional exclusive sets (e.g., Featherbound Set, Scavenger Set)

Cursebreaker Edition ​

  • Everything from the Supporter Edition
  • Even more exclusive cosmetic items, including:
    • Cursebreaker Capes
    • Additional exclusive sets (e.g., Hope of Gaia Set, Void Hero Set)

Limited Availability

These editions are only available during the Early Access period. All unlocked items will remain on your account even after Early Access ends.

Early Access Release

Hytale will be available in Early Access starting January 13, 2026. Pre-orders are available now through the official store.

Important notes ​

Early Access ​

  • Hytale is in Early Access, meaning the game is still in development
  • Features and requirements may change as the game evolves
  • Regular updates will be released during Early Access

Network Requirements ​

  • Multiplayer requires a stable internet connection
  • The game uses UDP/QUIC for networking
  • Some networks may need configuration to allow these protocols

Storage Requirements ​

  • SSD is mandatory - traditional hard drives are not supported
  • 20 GB free space is the minimum, but more space is recommended for mods and custom content
  • Consider additional space if you plan to use many mods or custom worlds

If you're experiencing performance issues:

  1. Check your hardware meets the minimum requirements
  2. Update your graphics drivers to the latest version
  3. Lower in-game settings if you're on minimum requirements
  4. Close unnecessary applications while playing
  5. Check your network connection for multiplayer issues
