How do I create and manage email accounts?

How to create email accounts, forwarders, autoresponders, and spam filters in DirectAdmin.

PlanetNode webhosting uses DirectAdmin with CloudLinux. You can manage your email directly from the DirectAdmin control panel.

Creating an email account

  1. Log in to DirectAdmin via the link in your welcome email, or go to my.planetnode.net, open your webhosting product, and click the login button
  2. Go to E-Mail ManagementE-Mail Accounts
  3. Click Create Account
  4. Enter the local part (before @), choose a password, and set the quota
  5. Click Create

Forwarders and autoresponders

  • Forwarders: E-Mail Management → Forwarders — redirect mail to another address
  • Autoresponders: E-Mail Management → Autoresponders — send automatic replies when you're away

Spam filters

  • SpamAssassin: E-Mail Management → SpamAssassin — adjust spam score thresholds and filters
  • Configure what happens to spam (delete, move to folder, tag)
